Our Story

Kitchen Ted all started with one simple text: “Got a wee challenge if it’s up your street, since you like cooking :)”

From that message, I started making meals every week, and word quickly spread that I was doing meal prep.

 

Before long, more and more people were asking for meals, and we realised it was time to make things official and give it a name. Kitchen Ted is named after my dog, Ted. After years of gruelling days working in busy kitchens, I’d come home completely worn out. But as soon as I stepped through the front door, wee Ted was always there to greet me. He became a constant reminder of why I do what I do.

 

At the start of Kitchen Ted, Ted took his job as Head Chicken Critic very seriously. Anytime we brought home leftovers, he’d be waiting ready to judge. I wanted to build something that offered people that same kind of comfort and support, through food.

 

Meals that actually taste good, are packed with protein, and make life easier for anyone who’s busy, tired, or just doesn’t want to think about what to eat all week. This has been my way of keeping my passion for cooking alive by getting to create new recipes while learning how to run and grow my own business.
